Jason M Innes had a question, what are your thoughts? “Lets talk about a BOB during SHTF. Should your pack look plain jane any color goes or camo? Im 100% camo or natural color. To me plain jane says I don’t know how to hide, hunt or defend myself  “please rob me”!! If your wearing a plain jane pack with a old navy t-shirt, your saying I’m not to bright!! Anyone??”

Some comments we received:

Comment#1: It wouldn’t matter to me…..i will never been seen. Camo doesn’t matter if it doesn’t blend in….I will wear what i need t match my surroundings…and you never carry a pack in the open with stuff that you can’t afford to loose. Know ur surroundings and blend.

Comment#2: I think it depends on your location. If your in a very urban area and SHTF then I would want a more plane Jane, blend in with the rest kind of bag, however for a less urban more wilderness bug out, I would defiantly say camo.

Comment#3: I think the opposite. If you are walking around all tactical or camod out people might think you have stuff worth taking and also might think that you are military/police which might not be a popular thing to be depending on the situation.
I think the most important thing is to blend in and not stand out at all.

Comment#4: Kind of feel like its whatever’s best for you. Camo means your trained and may be dangerous plain Jane may mean your untrained and vulnerable…. Just a though.

Comment#5: IMO, It’s always better to appear as the underdog in any given situation when you are not in a leadership position. Having your enemy underestimate your abilities provides you with an unseen advantage.
