Fire Prevention week started yesterday, what fire prevention and preparedness tips do you have?

Some comments we received:

Comment #1:  Unplug appliances when they are not in use, it saves on the electric bill as well.

Comment #2:  Make sure you have a smoke detector with batteries in every room of your house. Also fire extinguishers in every room. Final note check out www.safehome.com they home fireman is a GREAT tool to have in the house.

Comment #3:  Have a fire extinguisher on every floor of a house. Tell everybody where they are and how to use them.
